The books
Two kinds of book. Little Hands is for first crayons, ages one to three: one big picture a page, no story. The Woolingtons of Surfside is for ages four to eight: a story, a town and things to find. Every picture has its own page, blank on the back, so markers don't bleed through.
Little Hands · Ages 1–3
Fifty big, simple Christmas pictures with extra-thick lines: snowmen, reindeer, stockings, gifts and a very patient Santa. Made for a first box of crayons.

The Woolingtons · Ages 4–8
A day in Surfside with Jones, Ann, Weslie and Summer. Every page tells one small story and hides ten things to find, and on every page one small alpaca has wandered off with her blanket.
Meet the Woolingtons
The same family and the same town in every book: the pier, the three-band lighthouse, the yarn shop with the giant ball of yarn over the door. Once you know them, you can find them.
Dad
The tallest. Fixes what needs fixing, both hands on the tool. Keeps a thermos within reach.
Mom
Knows where everything is, including Summer. A daisy over one ear and the only plaid scarf in town.
Big sister, five
Pigtails, rain boots and a red wagon. One foot off the ground at all times.
Little sister
Has her own plans. Never looks up. Never lets go of the blanket.
Where's Summer? On every page. So is her blanket, and the seagull that follows her.Surfside is imaginary. The alpacas disagree.
